Although cleanup tools have many uses, they are primarily used to "clean up" slip-cast greenware by removing imperfections (seam lines and mold marks) and enhancing and sharpening cast-in details.
All blades are made from high quality stainless steel with double edge keenly sharpened cutting edges. The blades are firmly set in hardwood handles and the larger blades are retained with brass ferrules as illustrated.
Cleanup tools may also be used for sgraffito, incising, excising, carving, trimming and small-scale sculpturing and modeling.
