Join us for our 10th Annual Holiday Raku Firing! Bring the whole family, pick a piece and fire, and shop local handmade stoneware for the most unique gifts this year. 🎄
Raku is a Japanese Pottery firing method that produces unique black, white crackle, or iridescent earthenware vessels. Watch the VIDEO below!
No two pieces are alike, as pots are taken from a glowing kiln and plunged into reduction chambers to combust.
Unpredictable patterns in rainbow glaze are created when the pieces are starved of oxygen in the fire. Intense smoke blackens and crackles on bare clay.
Come purchase a pot and paint your own, or observe for free. No pottery experience necessary! You'll want to spend about 1.5 hrs to paint your own and watch it's transformation.
Already a potter? Bring your own pre-fired bisque pot and send it through the Raku fire for a $15 firing fee, glaze use included! Purchase your firing fee per-pot on this page in advance to skip the check-in line and be given priority firing in the event queue!
Pre-thrown, bisque fired pots range $20-80 for sale at the event. Firing fees are charged per-piece regardless of size and include use of Raku glazes, at $15 per pot. Additional Raku glazes of choice are available for purchase here in advance, or at the event.
