Olympic’s Medallion Artist Series models can be fired everyday with high performance heating and controlled cooling providing a perfect firing every time. We use Medallion Artist Series kilns at Mondaes & Mondaes Mudd, over 6 x per week and can vouch for great results!
The MAS1823 has 6 pre-set kiln programs that fire your Bisque cone 04 and Glaze cone 6 fast or slow, and every combo in between with no programming, just the touch of a few buttons. There are 6 "empty" kiln programs waiting to be created if you're in to creating detailed ramp/hold cycles, so this kiln has tons of capability! It's all you'll need to create large pottery up to cone 10, or slump glass.
The kilns are built with 3” brick providing extra insulation and energy efficiency. We rarely notice a drastic change in room temp due to our kiln firing, even without the Ventilation system! Very nice for hot weather climates like Southern Idaho, or small kiln rooms with only a window vent.
Olympic’s proven electrical box design with heat shields and top and bottom perforations keep the electrical components cool, and balanced heating elements insure even heating of the firing chamber under all firing conditions. The model comes equipped with, metal stand & stainless steel jacket rings which can be disassembled for transport when electric box is removed.
We have upgraded this controller for FREE to the 12 key digital Bartlett V6-CF controller for more ramp-hold user programs and multiple features including delay start, preheat, cone offset, skip step and many more for precise firings every time. Messages and Information are available for reviewing a firing profile before or during the firing, viewing the current segment the firing is in, and cone table for easy look up of temperature and cone number equivalents.
