These cable needles are used to hold stitches in front or back of the knitted work when integrated cabled stitch patterns into the work. Cable needles are also called "cable stitch holders". Knitter's Pride Straight Cable Needles are grooved along the needle to keep soft or slippery stitches from slipping.
