Mondaes' Step 2 Knit Class will help you make a multi-size pair of mittens, while learning Cables, Gussets, and the Magic Loop Technique. Take more than one month of Step 2 if desired, and we'll help you build on these skills by making two at a time on one circular needle (a great skill to know for socks!), or the more difficult cable style included in your free pattern.
Our Step 2 Knit Class includes all supplies and instruction, within the following experience:
- Learn or refresh your stretchy Cast On for Magic Loop Method in Week 1
- Learn Basic Cables and knit graph readhing in Week 2
- Shape the Mitten Thumb Gusset and Continue Cabling Week 3
- Pick Up and Knit thumbs, decrease refresher, and DPN's in Week 4
Sounds like a lot in a month? You can do this! We keep it simple, and you're welcome to pre-purchase more than one month of Step 2 in any topic in a row. Most students enjoy up to 4 months of a Step 2 experience before moving on to Step 3.
Your first class includes a studio orientation that will explain how to utilize unlimited open studio time, so make sure you can attend the first class. Ages 12 + are welcome to take Step 2 Knitting. Studio use includes the knit lounge, ball winder and swift use, and class tool kit access during open hours when classes are not in session.
FEE: $128 covers unlimited studio time during all open hours, 4 class sessions (2 hrs each), and all yarn, needles (to keep!), and patterns required to create your mittens.
CLASS TIME: This class is offered multiple 4 class sessions with day and evening options. Please enroll in the session you can attend all 4 classes in, and see the options at the pull-down tab.
