The Standard Drumcarder is a work horse! The diameter of the drum is 10" and the width is 7.5". The carder clamps to a table and comes already permanently adjusted for you.
The 46 Tpi Carder is designed to accommodate fine to medium fiber lengths. The teeth on the carder are 3/8" deep and a batt of about an ounce can be produced. Color blending can be done with success as well.
The 72 Tpi Carder is designed to card extra fine luxury fibers and blends of medium to extra fine. If you create mixed fiber batts the Extra Fine 72 Tpi XL is worth the investment.

The Louet Drum Carders are made of laminated birch and have a hard white coating. In order to ensure a long life, the teeth on all Louet carders are made of high grade plated steel wire. All gearboxes (except on the Elite) are enclosed to prevent fibers entering the gear system.
For drum carders it is common to mention the gear ratio that drives the licker-in when you rotate the large drum. However, what really counts for carding is the ratio of the surface speed of both drums, because the difference of surface speed does the carding. You get this surface speed ratio by multiplying the gear ratio with the ratio of the diameters of the large drum and the licker-in.
