*Felt boot slippers styled like a high-top tennis shoe, and still as cozy as ever! The lace adds another design element for kids that love color - try a two-tone boot design with a contasting lace.
-Design by Bev Galeskas, Fiber Trends Pattern CH7
-Sizes: Children's X-sm (5"), sm (6"), med (7"), lg (8").
For larger sizes, see pattern AC-13. Felt slippers may tend to grow some with wearing, but then so do children. If they become too large, washing will bring them back to size (the slippers, not the children).
-Needles: 16" or 24" (40 or 60 cm) circular size 10.5 (6.5 mm).
-Smaller sizes are easiest to knit on a 16" (40 cm) needle.
-Gauge: Approximately 14 sts = 4" (10 cm) before felting.
Finished size is determined by the amount of felting.
-Yarn: Worsted weight wool. Mondaes suggests 2 strands of Nature Spun Worsted.
