Mondaes' Step 3 Knit Class will create your first pair of DK weight socks, or expand on your sock knitting technique. If you've never knit socks, this class will help you build the foundation for knitting socks many different ways. If you've already conquered the cuff-down sock and want to learn magic loop socks or two-at a time, join and you'll complete the pair to suit your skill level!
Take more than one month of Step 3 Knitting Class if desired, and build on your skills as you go.
Our Step 3 Knit Class includes all supplies, instruction, and an optional knit-support class per week within the following experience:
- Learn or refresh your stretchy Cast On, divide on DPNS, and cuff in Week 1
- Create the flap and begin to turn the heel in Week 2
- Pick Up and Knit the Gusset, as well as foot length in Week 3
- Decrease for the toe, and finish with Kitchener bind-off in Week 4
Sounds like a lot in a month? You can do this! We keep it simple, and you're welcome to pre-purchase more than one month of Step 3 in any topic in a row. Most students enjoy up to 4 months of a Step 3 experience, and often add-in our Step 4 Knit-Alongs.
Your first class includes a studio orientation that will explain how to utilize unlimited open studio time, so make sure you can attend the first class. Ages 12 + are welcome to take Step 3 Knitting. Studio use includes the knit lounge, ball winder and swift use, and class tool kit access during open hours when classes are not in session.
FEE: $138 covers unlimited studio time during all open hours, 4 class sessions, additional (optional) 2 hour knit-support session per week by RSVP, all yarn, needles, and sock pattern.
CLASS TIME: This class is offered multiple 4 class sessions with day and evening options. Please enroll in the session you can attend all 4 classes in, and see the options at the pull-down tab.
SKILL LEVEL: Students enrolling in Step 3 should know how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind-off. Refreshers and new techniques always included in Step 3.

Class fees may be transferrable but are not refundable. Mondaes reserves the right to cancel any class due to under-booking or in the unlikely case of an instructors absence. If a class is cancelled, you will be notified by a staff member via email/phone and offered a space in the next available class or a refund.
